ततो दशग्रीवमुपस्थितास्तु ते चारा बहिर्नित्यचरा निशाचराः ।
गिरेः सुवेलस्य समीपवासिनं न्यवेदयन् रामबलं महाबलाः ॥६-२९-३०॥
tato daśagrīvamupasthitāstu te cārā bahirnityacarā niśācarāḥ |
gireḥ suvelasya samīpavāsinaṃ nyavedayan rāmabalaṃ mahābalāḥ ॥6-29-30॥
Translation
Then, those mighty night-wandering spies, who were always roaming outside, approached the Ten-necked One (Ravana) and reported about Shri Rama's army stationed near Mount Suvela.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, बाहर सदा घूमने वाले उन महाबली निशाचर गुप्तचरों ने दशग्रीव (रावण) के पास उपस्थित होकर, सुवेल पर्वत के समीप ठहरी हुई श्री राम की सेना का समाचार निवेदन किया।
English Commentary
The sarga concludes with the spies reporting back to Ravana. Despite being 'mahabalah' (mighty) and experienced field agents ('bahir-nityacarah'), their mission was a failure in terms of gathering intelligence on plans. They could only report the location: Shri Rama's army has reached Mount Suvela, the final staging ground before Lanka. The ring is closing around Ravana.

सर्ग का समापन गुप्तचरों के वापस रावण के पास पहुँचने से होता है। वे 'बहिर्नित्यचरा' (सदा बाहर घूमने वाले) अनुभवी जासूस थे, फिर भी वे केवल श्री राम की स्थिति ('सुवेल पर्वत के समीप') की सूचना ही ला सके, न कि श्री राम की कोई गुप्त योजना, क्योंकि वे पकड़े गए थे। 'महाबलाः' विशेषण शायद व्यंग्यात्मक है या उनकी शारीरिक क्षमता के लिए है, क्योंकि मानसिक रूप से वे हार चुके थे। उन्होंने श्री राम के आगमन की पुष्टि कर दी।
