ते मया सम्क्रमा भग्नाः परिखाः च अवपूरिताः ।
दग्धा च नगरी लंका प्राकाराः च अवसादिताः ॥६-३-२९॥
yātudhānā durādharṣāḥ sāgrakoṭiśca rakṣasām । te mayā saṃkramā bhagnāḥ parikhāścāvapūritāḥ ॥6-3-29॥
Translation
Those Yatudhanas (Rakshasas) are difficult to assault and number over ten million. (However,) those bridges have been broken by me and the moats filled up.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे यातुधान (राक्षस) अत्यंत दुर्धर्ष हैं और उन राक्षसों की संख्या एक करोड़ से अधिक है। (किंतु आप चिंता न करें) मैंने उन पुलों को तोड़ दिया है और खाइयों को भर दिया है।
English Commentary
After listing the terrifying numbers, Hanuman delivers the strategic advantage. He has already sabotaged the infrastructure during his rampage in Sundara Kanda. By breaking the bridges ('bhagna') and filling the moats ('avapurita'), he has degraded the enemy's defensive capabilities, making the upcoming assault easier.

शत्रु की विशाल संख्या बताकर हनुमान तुरंत 'गुड न्यूज़' देते हैं। उन्होंने अपनी पिछली यात्रा (सुंदरकाण्ड) में पुलों ('संक्रमाः') को तोड़ दिया था और मलबे से खाइयों को पाट दिया था। इसका अर्थ है कि लंका की पहली रक्षा पंक्ति (First Line of Defense) पहले ही ध्वस्त हो चुकी है।
