यथा सुखम् यथावच् च लंकायाम् असि दृष्टवान् ।
सरम् आचक्ष्व तत्त्वेन सर्वथा कुशलो हि असि ॥६-३-५॥
yathāmukhaṃ yathāvacca laṅkāyāmasi dṛṣṭavān । sarvamācakṣva tattvena sarvathā kuśalo hyasi ॥6-3-5॥
Translation
Describe everything truthfully to me exactly as you saw it and wherever you entered in Lanka; for you are indeed skilled in every way.
हिंदी अनुवाद
लंका में आपने जहाँ-जहाँ प्रवेश किया और जो कुछ भी ज्यों-का-त्यों देखा है, वह सब मुझे यथार्थ रूप (तत्वतः) से बताइये; क्योंकि आप सब प्रकार से कुशल हैं।
English Commentary
Shri Rama reinforces his trust in Hanuman's competence ('kushalo hyasi'). The emphasis is on 'tattvena' (factually/truthfully). In ancient warfare, the reliability of the spy was the difference between victory and defeat. Shri Rama acknowledges that Hanuman is the sole authority on Lanka's geography among the allies.

श्री राम हनुमान की योग्यता ('कुशल') को प्रमाणित करते हैं। वे 'तत्वेन' (तथ्यपरक/सच्चाई से) जानकारी चाहते हैं। युद्ध में गलत सूचना विनाशकारी हो सकती है, इसलिए श्री राम हनुमान जैसे विश्वसनीय सूत्र पर निर्भर हैं। यह श्लोक हनुमान की 'दूत' और 'गुप्तचर' के रूप में सर्वश्रेष्ठता को स्थापित करता है।
