राक्षसाश्च यथा स्निग्धा रावणस्य च तेजसा ।
पराम् समृद्धिम् लंकायाः सागरस्य च भीमताम् ॥६-३-८॥
rākṣasāśca yathā snigdhā rāvaṇasya ca tejasā । parāṃ samṛddhiṃ laṅkāyāḥ sāgarasya ca bhīmatām ॥6-3-8॥
Translation
And (I will describe) how the Rakshasas are devoted/spirited due to Ravana's power, the supreme prosperity of Lanka, and the terribleness of the ocean.
हिंदी अनुवाद
और (मैं बताऊँगा कि) राक्षस रावण के तेज से किस प्रकार (युद्ध के लिए) प्रसन्न/उत्साहित (स्निग्ध) हैं, लंका की परम समृद्धि कैसी है और समुद्र की भयंकरता कैसी है।
English Commentary
Intelligence includes psychological profiling. Hanuman notes that the Rakshasas are 'snigdha' (loyal/affectionate/spirited) due to Ravana's charisma ('tejas'). They are a motivated force, not just conscripts. He also notes the logistical strength ('samriddhim' - prosperity) which implies Lanka can withstand a long siege.

हनुमान जी शत्रु के मनोबल (Morale) का भी आकलन करके लाए हैं। 'स्निग्धा' शब्द यहाँ वफादारी और युद्ध के उत्साह के लिए प्रयुक्त हुआ है—राक्षस रावण से डरते नहीं, बल्कि उसके तेज से प्रभावित होकर लड़ते हैं। साथ ही, लंका की समृद्धि (रसद आपूर्ति के लिए महत्वपूर्ण) और समुद्र की बाधा का भी वर्णन किया जाएगा।
