English Commentary
The climax of the lie begins. Ravana describes the repetitive, merciless striking down of the monkeys. Then he centers on the main event: Prahasta approaching the sleeping Shri Rama. This sets up the false claim of Shri Rama's assassination.

अब मुख्य घटना का वर्णन आता है। राक्षस 'बार-बार' (उद्यम्य उद्यम्य) प्रहार कर रहे थे। रावण कहता है कि प्रहस्त ने 'सुप्तस्य रामस्य' (सोते हुए श्री राम) पर वार किया। यह कायरता है, लेकिन रावण इसे प्रहस्त के 'प्रमाथिना' (विनाशक) गुण के रूप में प्रस्तुत करता है।
