मन्त्रिणः शीघ्रमायान्तु सर्वे वै सुसमाहिताः ।
अयं नो मन्त्रकालो हि संग्राम इति राक्षसाः ॥६-३१-३॥
mantriṇaḥ śīghramāyāntu sarve vai susamāhitāḥ |
ayaṃ no mantrakālo hi saṅgrāma iti rākṣasāḥ ॥6-31-3॥
Translation
He ordered the Rakshasas: 'Let all ministers come here quickly and attentively. Since the war is upon us, this is indeed the time for consultation.'

उसने राक्षसों को आदेश दिया—'सभी मंत्री शीघ्र ही सावधान होकर यहाँ आएं, क्योंकि युद्ध उपस्थित होने के कारण यह हमारे लिए मंत्रणा (सलाह-मशविरा) का समय है।
English Commentary
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Ravana convenes a war council. The call for ministers to be 'susamahitah' (attentive/composed) underscores the urgency. It shows that Ravana understands the need for strategic planning ('mantrakala') rather than impulsive action now that the enemy is at the gates.

संकट के समय एक राजा का कर्तव्य होता है कि वह अपने मंत्रियों से परामर्श करे। रावण यहाँ युद्ध की गंभीरता को स्वीकार कर रहा है। वह मंत्रियों को 'सुसमाहिताः' (सावधान या एकाग्रचित्त) होकर आने को कहता है, जो स्थिति की नाज़ुकता को दर्शाता है। यह अब केवल व्यक्तिगत प्रतिशोध नहीं, बल्कि राज्य की सुरक्षा का प्रश्न बन गया है।
