कुमुदस्तु महातेजा निष्कूजः सायकैः कृतः ।
अङ्गदो बहुभिश्च्छिन्नः शरैरासाद्य राक्षसैः ॥६-३१-३१॥
kumudastu mahātejā niṣkūjaḥ sāyakaiḥ kṛtaḥ |
aṅgado bahubhiścchinnaḥ śarairāsādya rākṣasaiḥ ॥6-31-31॥
Translation
'The mighty Kumuda has been silenced by arrows. Angada was surrounded by Rakshasas and pierced by many arrows.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
महातेजस्वी कुमुद को बाणों से मारकर निष्चेष्ट (शांत) कर दिया गया। अंगद को राक्षसों ने घेरकर बहुत से बाणों से छलनी कर दिया।
English Commentary
Listing Angada and Kumuda completes the destruction of the high command. Making the loud/active warriors 'nishkujah' (silent) signifies the extinguishing of the army's life force.

अंगद, जो वालि के पुत्र और अत्यंत शक्तिशाली थे, उनका अंत भी बता दिया गया। 'निष्कूजः' (आवाज़ न करने वाला/शांत) शब्द मृत्यु की गंभीरता को बताता है।
