अदृष्टं मृत्युमापन्नः कस्मात्त्वं नयशास्त्रवित् ।
व्यसनानामुपायज्ञः कुशलो ह्यसि वर्जने ॥६-३२-१४॥
adṛṣṭaṃ mṛtyumāpannaḥ kasmāttvaṃ nayaśāstravit |
vyasanānāmupāyajñaḥ kuśalo hyasi varjane ॥6-32-14॥
Translation
'You are a knower of political science, aware of remedies for calamities, and skilled in avoiding them. How then did you meet with this unforeseen death?'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'तुम तो राजनीति शास्त्र के ज्ञाता (नयशास्त्रवित्), विपत्तियों के उपाय जानने वाले और उन्हें टालने में कुशल थे। फिर तुम इस अदृष्ट (अचानक आई) मृत्यु को कैसे प्राप्त हो गए?'
English Commentary
Sita acknowledges Shri Rama's strategic brilliance. He is nayashastravit (expert in polity) and knows how to handle vyasanas (calamities). It baffles her that such a cautious and skilled warrior could be blindsided by an adrishta (unforeseen) death. This underscores the treacherous nature of the illusion, which presented an outcome impossible in fair combat.

श्री राम केवल योद्धा नहीं, 'नयशास्त्रवित्' (राजनीति और रणनीति के ज्ञाता) भी थे। सीता को आश्चर्य है कि जो श्री राम संकटों का निवारण ('वर्जने कुशलः') करना जानते थे, वे सोते हुए या बिना तैयारी के कैसे मारे गए? यह प्रश्न श्री राम की योग्यता पर नहीं, बल्कि उस छल (माया) पर है जिसे सीता सत्य मान रही हैं।
