अहं दाशरथेनोढा मोहात्स्वकुलपांसनी ।
आर्यपुत्रस्य रामस्य भार्या मृत्युरजायत ॥६-३२-२९॥
ahaṃ dāśarathenoḍhā mohātsvakulapāṃsanī |
āryaputrasya rāmasya bhāryā mṛtyurajāyata ॥6-32-29॥
Translation
'The son of Dasharatha married me, the disgrace of my family, out of delusion/infatuation. I, the wife of the noble Shri Rama, was born as his death.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'दशरथ नंदन ने मोहवश मुझ कुल-कलंकिनी (स्वकुलपांसनी) से विवाह किया था। मैं आर्यपुत्र श्री राम की पत्नी नहीं, बल्कि उनकी मृत्यु बनकर आई थी।'
English Commentary
Sita suffers from intense survivor's guilt. She labels herself svakulapamsani (one who brings dust/disgrace to her lineage). She tragically concludes that she wasn't a wife, but mrityu (death) incarnate for Shri Rama. She believes Shri Rama married her out of moha (delusion), leading to his doom. This is the darkest point of her introspection.

आत्म-ग्लानि (Guilt) में सीता स्वयं को 'स्वकुलपांसनी' (अपने कुल को दूषित करने वाली) कहती हैं। उन्हें लगता है कि उनका विवाह श्री राम के विनाश का कारण बना। वह मानती हैं कि वे 'भार्या' (पत्नी) नहीं, अपितु 'मृत्यु' सिद्ध हुईं। यह एक शोक-संतप्त व्यक्ति की मनोवैज्ञानिक स्थिति है जो हर दुर्भाग्य के लिए स्वयं को दोषी मानता है।
