शिरसा मे शिरश्चास्य कायं कायेन योजय ।
रावणानुगमिष्यामि गतिं भर्तुर्महात्मनः ॥६-३२-३२॥
śirasā me śiraścāsya kāyaṃ kāyena yojaya |
rāvaṇānugamiṣyāmi gatiṃ bharturmahātmanaḥ ॥6-32-32॥
Translation
'Join my head with his head, and my body with his body. O Ravana! I will follow the path/destination of my high-souled husband.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'मेरे सिर को उनके सिर से और मेरे शरीर को उनके शरीर से मिला दो। हे रावण! मैं अपने महात्मा पति की गति (मार्ग/मृत्यु) का अनुगमन करूँगी।'
English Commentary
Sita visualizes a physical union in death—head to head, body to body. Her resolve to 'follow' (anugamishyami) Shri Rama underscores the ancient ideal where a wife's spiritual journey is intertwined with her husband's. She addresses Ravana directly, asking him to facilitate this final journey since he is the cause of it.

सीता पूर्ण समर्पण और सतीत्व की भावना व्यक्त करती हैं। वह शारीरिक और आत्मिक मिलन चाहती हैं। 'अनुगमिष्यामि' (पीछे-पीछे जाऊंगी) का संकल्प यह दिखाता है कि वह पति के बिना एक क्षण भी जीवित नहीं रहना चाहतीं। यह भारतीय नारी के पतिव्रता धर्म का आदर्श उदाहरण है।
