ततस्तथेति प्रतिगृह्य तद्वचो बलाधिपास्ते महदात्मनो बलम् ।
समानयंश्चैव समागमं च ते न्यवेदयन् भर्तरि युद्धकाङ्क्षिणि ॥६-३२-४४॥
tatastatheti pratigṛhya tadvaco balādhipāste mahadātmano balam |
samānayaṃścaiva samāgamaṃ ca te nyavedayan bhartari yuddhakāṅkṣiṇi ॥6-32-44॥
Translation
Then, accepting his command saying 'So be it', those army commanders assembled that vast army. And they reported the assembly to their master who was eager for war.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब उन सेनापतियों ने 'जो आज्ञा' (तथा इति) कहकर उस वचन को स्वीकार किया और उस विशाल सेना को इकट्ठा किया। और उन्होंने युद्ध की इच्छा रखने वाले अपने स्वामी (रावण) को सेना के जमा होने की सूचना दी।
English Commentary
The machine of war begins to turn. The commanders execute the order without question. The massive army assembles. Ravana is described as yuddhakankshini (desirous of war). Despite the earlier anxiety, his warrior nature takes over. The sarga transitions from the intimate, psychological horror of Sita's grief to the grand, external clamor of impending battle.
हिंदी टीका
सर्ग का समापन युद्ध की तैयारी के साथ होता है। सेनापतियों ने विशाल सेना ('महद् बलम्') को इकट्ठा किया और रावण को सूचित किया। रावण को 'युद्धकांक्षिणि' (युद्ध की इच्छा रखने वाला) कहा गया है। यद्यपि वह श्री राम से डरता है, उसका अहंकार उसे युद्ध के लिए प्रेरित कर रहा है। सीता का शोक पीछे छूट गया है, अब लंका युद्ध के लिए तैयार है।
