आर्येण किं ते कैकेयि कृतं रामेण विप्रियम् ।
यद्गृहाच्चीरवसनं दत्त्वा प्रत्राजितो वनम् ॥६-३२-५॥
āryeṇa kiṃ te kaikeyi kṛtaṃ rāmeṇa vipriyam |
yadgṛhāccīravasanaṃ dattvā pravrājito vanam ॥6-32-5॥
Translation
'O Kaikeyi! What offense did the noble Shri Rama commit against you, that you gave him bark garments and exiled him from the house to the forest?'

'हे कैकेयी! आर्य श्री राम ने तुम्हारा क्या अप्रिय किया था? जिसके कारण तुमने उन्हें वल्कल वस्त्र देकर घर से वन में भेज दिया?'
English Commentary
Sita questions the rationale behind Kaikeyi's cruelty. She refers to Shri Rama as Arya (noble/righteous), emphasizing his innocence. सीता प्रश्न करती हैं कि श्री राम का अपराध क्या था? श्री राम को 'आर्य' (श्रेष्ठ/भद्र) कहा गया है, जिसका अर्थ है कि उन्होंने कभी किसी का अहित नहीं किया। सीता को वह दृश्य याद आता है जब राजकुमार श्री राम को 'चीरवसनम्' (पेड़ की छाल के वस्त्र) पहनाकर निकाला गया था। यह श्लोक निर्दोष पर हुए अत्याचार की पीड़ा को व्यक्त करता है।
