Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
विक्रान्तो रक्षिता नित्यमात्मनश्च परस्य च ।
लक्ष्मणेन सह भ्रात्रा कुशली नयशास्त्रवित् ॥६-३३-१२॥
vikrānto rakṣitā nityamātmanaśca parasya ca |
lakṣmaṇena saha bhrātrā kuśalī nayaśāstravit ॥6-33-12॥
Translation
'He is valiant, the eternal protector of himself and others. He is well-versed in the scriptures of polity (Naya Shastra) and is safe along with his brother Lakshmana.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'वे पराक्रमी हैं, सदा अपनी और दूसरों की रक्षा करने वाले हैं। वे नीतिशास्त्र के ज्ञाता हैं और अपने भाई लक्ष्मण के साथ सकुशल हैं।'
English Commentary
The ultimate truth is delivered here: 'kuśalī' (he is safe). Sarama argues that Shri Rama is a 'rakṣitā' (protector); one who protects the world can surely protect himself. Calling him 'nayaśāstravit' (knower of polity/strategy) implies that Shri Rama is too strategically astute to fall for the cheap tricks or ambushes Ravana described.

सबसे बड़ा सत्य यहाँ बोला गया—'कुशली' (वे सकुशल हैं)। सरमा कहती है कि श्री राम 'रक्षिता' (रक्षक) हैं, जो दूसरों की रक्षा करता है वह अपनी रक्षा करने में तो सक्षम होगा ही। 'नयशास्त्रवित्' (नीति जानने वाले) कहकर वह बताती है कि श्री राम युद्धनीति में निपुण हैं, उन्हें छल से नहीं हराया जा सकता।
