घण्टानां शृणु निर्घोषं रथानां शृणु निःस्वनम् ।
हयानां हेषमाणानां शृणु तूर्यध्वनिं यथा ॥६-३३-२८॥
ghaṇṭānāṃ śṛṇu nirghoṣaṃ rathānāṃ śṛṇu niḥsvanam |
hayānāṃ heṣamāṇānāṃ śṛṇu tūryadhvaniṃ yathā ॥6-33-28॥
Translation
'Listen to the ringing of bells, listen to the rattle of chariots. Listen to the neighing of horses and the sound of trumpets/drums.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'घंटियों की आवाज सुनो, रथों की घरघराहट सुनो। हिनहिनाते हुए घोड़ों की आवाज और तूर्य (नगाड़ों) की ध्वनि को सुनो।'
English Commentary
Sarama urges Sita to use her senses (hearing). This is not empty consolation but tangible evidence. These sounds of war preparation should be music to Sita's ears, as they signal the commencement of her rescue mission.
हिंदी टीका
सरमा सीता को अपनी इंद्रियों (श्रवण) का प्रयोग करने को कहती है। यह केवल कोरी सांत्वना नहीं, बल्कि प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव है। युद्धघोष की ये आवाजें सीता के लिए संगीत के समान होनी चाहिए क्योंकि ये उनके उद्धार का संकेत हैं।
