Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
विनिर्जित्य जितक्रोधस्त्वामचिन्त्यपराक्रमः ।
रावणं समरे हत्वा भर्ता त्वाधिगमिष्यति ॥६-३३-३१॥
vinirjitya jitakrodhastvāmacintyaparākramaḥ |
rāvaṇaṃ samare hatvā bhartā tvādhigamiṣyati ॥6-33-31॥
Translation
'Your husband, of inconceivable valor and who has conquered anger, having killed Ravana in battle and won victory, will reclaim you.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'अचिन्त्य पराक्रम वाले और क्रोध को जीतने वाले (जितक्रोध) तुम्हारे पति, युद्ध में रावण को मारकर और विजय प्राप्त करके तुम्हें पुनः प्राप्त करेंगे।'
English Commentary
Shri Rama is described as 'jitakrodhaḥ' (conqueror of anger). Though he wages war, his anger is not uncontrolled rage but righteous indignation directed by Dharma. The ultimate goal is the reclamation of Sita after slaying Ravana, which Sarama speaks of as a certainty.
हिंदी टीका
श्री राम को 'जितक्रोधः' (क्रोध को जीतने वाला) कहा गया है। यद्यपि वे युद्ध कर रहे हैं, उनका क्रोध अनियंत्रित नहीं है, बल्कि धर्म द्वारा संचालित है। रावण का वध करके सीता की प्राप्ति ही इस युद्ध का लक्ष्य है, जिसे सरमा निश्चित मानती है।
