न हि मे क्रममाणाया निरालम्बे विहायसि ।
समर्था गतिमन्वेतुं पवनो गरुडोऽपि वा ॥६-३४-४॥
na hi me kramamāṇāyā nirālambe vihāyasi |
samarthā gatimanvetuṃ pavano garuḍo'pi vā ॥6-34-4॥
Translation
'For when I traverse the unsupported sky, not even the Wind nor Garuda is capable of following my speed/path.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'जब मैं निरालम्ब (आधार रहित) आकाश में विचरण करती हूँ, तो पवन या गरुड़ भी मेरी गति का अनुसरण करने में समर्थ नहीं हैं।'
English Commentary
To assure Sita of the mission's success, Sarama boasts of her speed, comparing herself favorably to Pavana (Wind) and Garuda (the divine eagle). Describing the sky as niralambe (without support) highlights her ability to fly effortlessly. This implies that Ravana's physical blockades cannot stop her.

सरमा अपने वेग और शक्ति का परिचय देती है। वह केवल एक साधारण राक्षसी नहीं है। उसकी गति 'पवन' और 'गरुड़' (पक्षियों के राजा) से भी अधिक है। यह कथन सीता के मन में सुरक्षा का भाव जगाने के लिए है कि उनकी सखी अत्यंत शक्तिशाली है और रावण के पहरे उस पर लागू नहीं होते।
