पाण्डरा रक्तपादाश्च विहङ्गाः कालचोदिताः ।
राक्षसानां विनाशाय कपोता विचरन्ति च ॥६-३५-३२॥
pāṇḍarā raktapādāśca vihaṅgāḥ kālacoditāḥ |
rākṣasānāṃ vināśāya kapotā vicaranti ca ॥6-35-32॥
Translation
'Urged by Time (Death), white and red-footed birds and pigeons are wandering (in Lanka) for the destruction of the Rakshasas.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'काल से प्रेरित होकर सफेद और लाल पैरों वाले पक्षी तथा कबूतर, राक्षसों के विनाश के लिए (लंका में) घूम रहे हैं।'
English Commentary
Pigeons ('kapotā') were considered ominous if they entered dwellings wildly. Being described as 'kālacoditāḥ' (impelled by Time/Death) confirms they are not mere birds but harbingers sent by destiny to mark the Rakshasas for elimination.

कबूतर (कपोत) का घर में आना या सिर पर बैठना अशुभ माना जाता था। 'कालचोदिताः' (काल/मृत्यु द्वारा भेजे गए) शब्द बताता है कि ये पक्षी साधारण नहीं हैं, बल्कि मृत्यु के दूत हैं जो विनाश की पुष्टि कर रहे हैं।
