यदि तावत्समुद्रे तु सेतुर्बद्धो यदृच्छया ।
रामेण विस्मयः कोऽत्र येन ते भयमागतम् ॥६-३६-१२॥
yadi tāvatsamudre tu seturbaddho yadṛcchayā |
rāmeṇa vismayaḥ ko'tra yena te bhayamāgatam ॥6-36-12॥
Translation
'If a bridge was indeed built over the ocean by Shri Rama by chance/accident, what is the surprise in that, which has caused you fear?'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'यदि श्री राम ने समुद्र पर संयोगवश (यदृच्छया) सेतु बना भी लिया, तो इसमें आश्चर्य क्या है जिससे तुम्हें भय हो गया?'
English Commentary
Ravana dismisses the engineering marvel of the Ram Setu as yadricchaya (coincidence or chance). He refuses to acknowledge it as proof of Shri Rama's superior capability or divine favor. By downplaying the enemy's greatest feat, he tries to maintain the morale of his own ego, refusing to see the writing on the wall.

रावण श्री राम की सबसे बड़ी उपलब्धि (सेतु निर्माण) को 'यदृच्छया' (तुक्का/संयोग) कहकर खारिज कर देता है। वह इसे तकनीकी या दैवीय चमत्कार मानने के बजाय एक साधारण घटना मानता है। यह 'डिनायल' (Denial) की अवस्था है जहाँ शत्रु की क्षमता को जानबूझकर कम करके आंका जा रहा है।
