विक्रान्ता बलवन्तश्च संयुगेष्वाततायिनः ।
इष्टा राक्षसराजस्य नित्यमेते निशाचराः ॥६-३७-१७॥
vikrāntā balavantaśca saṃyugeṣvātatāyinaḥ |
iṣṭā rākṣasarājasya nityamete niśācarāḥ ॥6-37-17॥
Translation
All these Rakshasas are valiant, powerful, and aggressive in battle; they are the constant followers and favorites of Ravana, the king of Rakshasas.
हिंदी अनुवाद
ये सभी राक्षस पराक्रमी, बलवान और युद्धों में शस्त्र उठाने वाले (आततायी) हैं; ये राक्षसराज रावण के अत्यंत प्रिय और नित्य सेवक हैं।
English Commentary
Vibhishana warns that these troops are not just numerous but also 'Vikranta' (valiant) and 'Atatayinah' (aggressive/terror-striking). Their loyalty to Ravana makes them a cohesive and deadly force. By describing them as 'favorites' of the king, the text indicates that they are highly motivated and battle-hardened, prepared to fight to the finish for their sovereign.

रावण के सैनिक केवल संख्या में अधिक नहीं थे, बल्कि वे 'विक्रान्ता' (पराक्रमी) और युद्ध में क्रूर भी थे। यहाँ उन्हें 'आततायी' कहा गया है, जिसका अर्थ है जो अन्यायी और हिंसक हों। ऐसे शत्रुओं का वध करना धर्म सम्मत है। उनकी स्वामी-भक्ति (रावण के प्रिय होना) उन्हें और भी खतरनाक बनाती है क्योंकि वे अपने राजा के लिए किसी भी सीमा तक जा सकते थे।
