एकैकस्यात्र युद्धार्थे राक्षसस्य विशांपते ।
परिवारः सहस्राणां सहस्रमुपतिष्ठते ॥६-३७-१८॥
ekaikasyātra yuddhārthe rākṣasasya viśāmpate |
parivāraḥ sahasrāṇāṃ sahasramupatiṣṭhate ॥6-37-18॥
Translation
O Protector of the People (Shri Rama)! For the purpose of war, each individual Rakshasa is supported by a contingent of a thousand more Rakshasas.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे प्रजापालक (श्री राम)! यहाँ युद्ध के लिए प्रत्येक एक-एक राक्षस के साथ हजार-हजार राक्षसों का परिवार (सहायक दल) खड़ा रहता है।
English Commentary
This verse illustrates the layered hierarchy of the Rakshasa military, where every primary combatant is backed by a massive support unit. Addressing Shri Rama as 'Vishampate' (Lord of the people) acknowledges His rightful sovereignty. विभीषण यहाँ सैन्य संगठन की सूक्ष्मता बता रहे हैं। प्रत्येक योद्धा के पीछे एक विशाल सहायक बल होना यह सूचित करता है कि रावण की सेना अत्यंत सुगठित थी। श्री राम को 'विशांपते' (प्रजा के स्वामी) कहकर संबोधित करना यह दर्शाता है कि विभीषण उन्हें ही अब अपना वास्तविक राजा और रक्षक मानते हैं। यह एक विशाल चुनौती का चित्रण है जिसे केवल दैवीय शक्ति ही पार कर सकती है।
