समर्थो ह्यसि वीर्येण सुराणामपि निग्रहे ।
तद्वांश्चतुरङ्गेण बलेन महता वृतः ॥६-३७-२४॥
samartho hyasi vīryeṇa surāṇāmapi nigrahe |
tadvāṃścaturaṅgeṇa balena mahatā vṛtaḥ ॥6-37-24॥
Translation
Indeed, you are capable of even subduing the gods with your prowess. You are surrounded by this great four-fold army—

आप तो अपने पराक्रम से देवताओं का भी दमन करने में समर्थ हैं। आप अपनी इस विशाल चतुरंगिणी सेना से घिरे हुए हैं—
English Commentary
After detailing the enemy's strength, Vibhishana pivotally reaffirms Shri Rama's own supreme power. By stating that Shri Rama can even subdue the Devas, he acknowledges His divinity. He views the Vanara host as a 'Chaturangini' (four-fold) army, implying its completeness under Shri Rama's divine leadership, thereby boosting the morale of the entire camp.

शत्रु की शक्ति बताने के बाद विभीषण तुरंत श्री राम की अजेय शक्ति का स्मरण कराते हैं। वे जानते हैं कि श्री राम का तेज रावण की संपूर्ण सेना पर भारी है। यहाँ 'चतुरंगिणी' सेना का अर्थ वानर सेना के विभिन्न अंगों से है। विभीषण का यह कथन श्री राम के प्रति उनकी अगाध श्रद्धा और विश्वास को प्रकट करता है कि विजय अंततः श्री राम की ही होगी।
