शत्रूणां प्रतिघातार्थमिदं वचनमब्रवीत् ।
पूर्वद्वारे तु लङ्काया नीलो वानरपुंगवः ॥६-३७-२६॥
śatrūṇāṃ pratighātārthamidaṃ vacanamabravīt |
pūrvadvāre tu laṅkāyā nīlo vānarapuṃgavaḥ ॥6-37-26॥
Translation
Spoke these words for the destruction of the enemies: At the eastern gate of Lanka, the best among monkeys, Nila, shall be stationed.
हिंदी अनुवाद
शत्रुओं के संहार के लिए यह वचन कहा— लंका के पूर्व द्वार पर वानरों में श्रेष्ठ नील तैनात रहेंगे।
English Commentary
Shri Rama immediately acts upon the intelligence provided. He assigns Nila, the commander-in-chief of the Vanara forces, to the Eastern gate. Since the enemy commander Prahasta was stationed there, Shri Rama demonstrates a classic tactical move by pitting his primary general against the opponent's counterpart, ensuring a balanced and powerful offensive.

विभीषण की सूचना के आधार पर श्री राम तुरंत निर्णय लेते हैं। उन्होंने पूर्व द्वार पर नील को नियुक्त किया, जो वानर सेना के मुख्य सेनापति (कमांडर) हैं। नील का सामना प्रहस्त से होना था, जो रावण का सेनापति था। यह श्री राम की सटीक सैन्य दृष्टि को दर्शाता है कि उन्होंने शत्रु के सेनापति के विरुद्ध अपने सेनापति को खड़ा किया।
