निपीड्याभिप्रेक्ष्यामि सबलो यत्र रावणः ।
वानरेन्द्रश्च बलवानृक्षराजश्च वीर्यवान् ॥६-३७-३२॥
nipiḍyābhiprekṣyāmi sabalo yatra rāvaṇaḥ |
vānarendraśca balavāँṛkṣarājaśca vīryavān ॥6-37-32॥
Translation
Where Ravana is located with his army, I shall besiege and confront him. The powerful king of monkeys (Sugriva) and the valiant king of bears (Jambavan)—

जहाँ अपनी सेना के साथ रावण स्थित है, उस स्थान को मैं घेर लूँगा और उसे देखूँगा। बलवान वानरराज (सुग्रीव) और वीर्यवान ऋक्षराज (जाम्बवान)—
English Commentary
Shri Rama's intent to 'Abhiprekshyami' (confront/behold) Ravana signifies the finality of the conflict. He also coordinates the positions of Sugriva and Jambavan. The mention of the 'King of Bears' alongside the 'King of Monkeys' emphasizes the collective strength of the diverse forest-dwelling tribes united under His banner for this supreme cause.

श्री राम का रावण का 'अभिप्रेक्ष्यामि' (सामना करना/देखना) कहने का अर्थ है युद्ध के मैदान में उसे ललकारना। वे सुग्रीव और जाम्बवान की भूमिका भी निर्धारित कर रहे हैं। उत्तर द्वार पर श्री राम का होना युद्ध का केंद्र बिंदु होगा। यहाँ 'ऋक्षराज' जाम्बवान की वीरता का भी विशेष सम्मान किया गया है, जो इस धर्मयुद्ध के सबसे अनुभवी योद्धा हैं।
