ततस्तु रामो महता बलेन प्रच्छाद्य सर्वां पृथिवीं महात्मा ।
प्रहृष्टरूपोऽभिजगाम लङ्कां कृत्वा मतिं सोऽरिवधे महात्मा ॥६-३७-३८॥
tatastu rāmo mahatā balena pracchādya sarvāṃ pṛthivīṃ mahātmā |
prahṛṣṭarūpo'bhijagāma laṅkāṃ kṛtvā matiṃ so'rivadhe mahātmā ॥6-37-38॥
Translation
Then, covering the entire earth with His vast army, the great-souled Shri Rama, appearing cheerful and having firmly resolved to slay the enemies, marched towards Lanka.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तत्पश्चात, विशाल सेना के साथ समस्त पृथ्वी को आच्छादित करते हुए, प्रसन्नचित्त महात्मा श्री राम ने शत्रुओं के वध का निश्चय करके लंका की ओर प्रस्थान किया।
English Commentary
The concluding verse of this sarga captures the awe-inspiring march of Shri Rama’s army. The imagery of the army 'covering the earth' signifies its immense scale. Shri Rama’s cheerful countenance ('Prahrishtarupah') indicates His divine confidence and the righteousness of His cause. With the firm resolve to end the tyranny, the 'Mahatma' moves forward, signaling the inevitable triumph of Light over Darkness.
हिंदी टीका
यह सर्ग का अंतिम और अत्यंत प्रभावशाली श्लोक है। श्री राम की सेना इतनी विशाल है कि वह पृथ्वी को ढँक लेती है। 'प्रहृष्टरूप:' शब्द यह संकेत देता है कि श्री राम को अपनी विजय पर पूर्ण विश्वास है और वे धर्म के इस युद्ध को एक उत्सव की भाँति स्वीकार कर रहे हैं। 'अरिवधे' (शत्रु के वध) का संकल्प अब क्रियान्वयन की ओर बढ़ चला है।
