एते चान्ये च बहवो वानराः शीघ्रगामिनः ।
ते वायुवेगप्रवणास्तं गिरिं गिरीचारिणः ॥६-३८-१३॥

ete cānye ca bahavo vānarāḥ śīghragāminaḥ |
te vāyuvegapravaṇāstaṃ giriṃ giricāriṇaḥ ॥6-38-13॥

Translation

These and many other swift-moving monkeys, possessing the speed of the wind and habituated to roaming on mountains, ascended that mountain.

हिंदी अनुवाद

ये और अन्य बहुत से शीघ्रगामी वानर, जो वायु के समान वेग वाले और पर्वतों पर ही विचरण करने वाले (गिरिचारी) थे, उस पर्वत पर चढ़े।

English Commentary

Ascending the mountain is natural for the Vanaras as they are 'giricāriṇaḥ' (mountain roamers). Comparisons to 'vāyuvega' (wind speed) illustrate their agility and combat readiness.
