पूर्णचन्द्रप्रदीप्ता च क्षपा समभिवर्तते ।
ततः स रामो हरिवाहिनीपतिर्विभीषणेन प्रतिनन्द्य सत्कृतः ॥६-३८-१९॥सलक्ष्मणो यूथपयूथसंवृतः सुवेलपृष्ठे न्यवसद्यथासुखम् ॥ ॥६-३८-१९॥
pūrṇacandrapradīptā ca kṣapā samabhivartate |
tataḥ sa rāmo harivāhinīpatirvibhīṣaṇena pratinandya satkṛtaḥ |
salakṣmaṇo yūthapayūthasaṃvṛtaḥ suvelapṛṣṭhe nyavasadyathāsukham ॥6-38-19॥
Translation
Then the night, illuminated by the full moon, arrived. Thereafter, Shri Rama, the Lord of the monkey army, being greeted and honored by Vibhishana, and surrounded by Lakshmana and the troops of troop-leaders, rested comfortably on the ridge of Suvela.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तभी पूर्ण चंद्रमा से प्रकाशित रात्रि आ पहुंची। तदनन्तर, वानर सेना के स्वामी श्रीश्री राम ने, विभीषण द्वारा अभिनन्दन और सत्कार प्राप्त करके, लक्ष्मण और यूथपतियों के समूहों से घिरे हुए, सुवेल पर्वत की पीठ (समतल भूमि) पर सुखपूर्वक निवास किया।
English Commentary
'Pūrṇacandra' (full moon) indicates the timing roughly around Phalguna Purnima. Vibhishana honoring Shri Rama shows that even on Lankan soil, he acts as the host and servant. Resting 'yathāsukham' (comfortably) amidst enemies reflects Shri Rama's supreme confidence and fearlessness.
