वित्रासयन्तो विहगांस्त्रासयन्तो मृगद्विपान् ।
कम्पयन्तश्च तां लङ्कां नादैस्ते नदतां वराः ॥६-३९-१५॥
vitrāsayanto vihagāṃstrāsayanto mṛgadvipān |
kampayantaśca tāṃ laṅkāṃ nādaiste nadatāṃ varāḥ ॥6-39-15॥
Translation
Those excellent roarers, frightening the birds, terrifying the deer and elephants, and shaking that Lanka with their roars, (advanced).
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे नाद करने वालों में श्रेष्ठ (वानर), अपनी गर्जनाओं से पक्षियों को डराते हुए, मृगों और हाथियों को भयभीत करते हुए और उस लंका को कंपाते हुए (बढ़े)।
English Commentary
The idyllic peace described earlier is shattered. The Vanaras, nadatam varah (best among roarers), unleash terror. The fauna—birds, deer, elephants—panic. Shaking Lanka with sound serves to announce their arrival and intimidate the enemy.
हिंदी टीका
वानरों ने 'साइकोलॉजिकल वॉरफेयर' (Psychological Warfare) शुरू कर दिया। उनकी गर्जनाओं ने लंका के शांत वनों में खलबली मचा दी। पक्षी, हिरण और हाथी त्रस्त हो गए। लंका 'कांपने' लगी। शांति भंग हो चुकी है।
