गन्धाढ्यान्यभिरम्याणि पुष्पाणि च फलानि च ।
धारयन्त्यगमास्तत्र भूषणानीव मानवाः ॥६-३९-७॥
gandhāḍhyānyabhiramyāṇi puṣpāṇi ca phalāni ca |
dhārayantyagamāstatra bhūṣaṇānīva mānavāḥ ॥6-39-7॥
Translation
The trees there bore fragrance-rich and delightful flowers and fruits, just as humans wear ornaments.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वहाँ के वृक्ष (अगमाः) गंध से भरपूर और अत्यंत रमणीय फूल और फल धारण किए हुए थे, जैसे मनुष्य आभूषण धारण करते हैं।
English Commentary
The trees are personified; they 'wear' (dharayanti) flowers and fruits like humans wear jewelry (bhushanani). This metaphor emphasizes the ornamental quality of nature in Lanka. The abundance of fragrance (gandhadhyani) adds an olfactory dimension to the description.

वृक्षों का मानवीकरण (Personification) किया गया है। वे फूलों और फलों को ऐसे धारण किए हैं जैसे मनुष्य आभूषण पहनते हैं। 'गन्धाढ्यानि' (सुगंध से समृद्ध) शब्द बताता है कि हवा में मादक सुगंध थी। यह समृद्धि और विलास का वातावरण है।
