Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ननृतुः कोयष्टिभिश्च नृत्यमानैश्च बर्हिभिः ।
रुतं परभृतानां च शुश्रुवुर्वननिर्झरे ॥६-३९-९॥
nanṛtuḥ koyaṣṭibhiśca nṛtyamānaiśca barhibhiḥ |
rutaṃ parabhṛtānāṃ ca śuśruvurvananirjhare ॥6-39-9॥
Translation
Near the forest waterfalls, birds danced along with the dancing lapwings/gallinules and peacocks. And the sound of cuckoos was heard.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वहाँ वन के झरनों के पास दात्यूह पक्षियों (कोयष्टि) और नाचते हुए मोरों (बर्हिभिः) के साथ (अन्य पक्षी भी) नाच रहे थे। और कोयलों (परभृत) की कूक सुनाई दे रही थी।
English Commentary
The scene comes alive with sound and movement. Peacocks (barhibhih) dancing suggests joy and rain (or mist from waterfalls). The song of cuckoos (parabhritanam) and the sound of waterfalls (vananirjhare) create a symphony of nature. It's a scene of idyllic peace.

दृश्य के साथ अब ध्वनि (Soundscape) जुड़ती है। झरनों का कलकल निनाद, मोरों का नृत्य, और कोयलों की कूक। 'परभृत' (दूसरों द्वारा पाले जाने वाली - कोयल) का स्वर वसंत का सूचक है। प्रकृति का यह उल्लास युद्ध के तनाव के बिल्कुल विपरीत है।
