अग्रे यातु बलस्यास्य नीलो मार्गमवेक्षितुम् ।
वृतः शतसहस्रेण वानराणां तरस्विनाम् ॥६-४-१०॥
agre yātu balasyāsya nīlo mārgamavekṣitum । vṛtaḥ śatasahasreṇa vānarāṇāṃ tarasvinām ॥6-4-10॥
Translation
Let Nila, surrounded by a hundred thousand swift monkeys, march at the head of this army to scout/inspect the path.
हिंदी अनुवाद
नील, वेगवान वानरों के एक लाख (सैनिकों) की टुकड़ी से घिरकर, मार्ग का निरीक्षण करने के लिए इस सेना के आगे चलें।
English Commentary
Shri Rama establishes the 'Vyuha' (military formation). Nila is appointed commander of the Vanguard. His role is 'margam avekshitum' (reconnaissance). Nila, a brilliant engineer/architect, is best suited for this pioneer role.

श्री राम सेना विन्यास (Formation) तय कर रहे हैं। नील को 'वैनगार्ड' (अग्रिम दस्ता) का नेतृत्व सौंपा गया है। उनका कार्य 'मार्गम् अवेक्षितुम्' (रास्ते की जाँच करना) है।
