फलमूलवता नील शीतकाननवारिणा ।
पथा मधुमता चाशु सेनां सेनापते नय ॥६-४-११॥
phalamūlavatā nīla śītakānanavāriṇā । pathā madhumatā cāśu senāṃ senāpate naya ॥6-4-11॥
Translation
O General Nila! Lead the army quickly by a path that abounds in fruits and roots, possesses cool forests and water, and is rich in honey.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे सेनापति नील! तुम सेना को शीघ्र ऐसे मार्ग से ले चलो जो फल-मूल से युक्त हो, जिसमें शीतल वन और जल हो, और जो मधु (शहद) से सम्पन्न हो।
English Commentary
Logistics dictate strategy. Moving a million-strong army through a forest requires ensuring supply lines. Shri Rama instructs Nila to choose a route rich in forage ('phala-mula') and water ('vari'), ensuring the army remains fed and hydrated without carrying excessive baggage.

रसद (Logistics) का महत्व। विशाल सेना को भोजन और पानी चाहिए। श्री राम आदेश देते हैं कि रास्ता ऐसा चुना जाए जहाँ प्राकृतिक संसाधन ('फल-मूल', 'जल') उपलब्ध हों। यह एक कुशल सेनापति की सोच है।
