न चायमनुपायेन शक्यस्तरितुमर्णवः ।
तदिहैव निवेशोऽस्तु मन्त्रः प्रस्तूयतामिति ॥६-४-१०२॥
na cāyamanupāyena śakyastaritumarṇavaḥ । tadihaiva niveśo'stu mantraḥ prastūyatāmiti ॥6-4-102॥
Translation
'And this ocean cannot be crossed without a (specific) strategy/remedy. Therefore, let the camp be set up here itself, and let counsel be initiated as to...'

English Commentary
Strategic halt. Shri Rama recognizes that brute force won't work ('na anupayena'). He orders a 'Nivesha' (camp) and a 'Mantra' (strategic counsel). This marks the shift from operational movement to tactical planning.

रणनीतिक पड़ाव। श्री राम जानते हैं कि जोश से सागर पार नहीं होगा, 'उपाय' चाहिए। वे 'मन्त्रः' (War Council/Consultation) का आह्वान करते हैं। यह एक समझदार नेता का लक्षण है।
