ततो विस्मयमापन्ना ददृशुर्हरयस्तदा ।
भ्रान्तोर्मिजलसन्नादं प्रलोलमिव सागरम् ॥६-४-१२६॥
tato vismayamāpannā dadṛśurharayastadā । bhrāntormijalasannādaṃ pralolamiva sāgaram ॥6-4-126॥
Translation
Then, struck with wonder/amazement, the monkeys gazed at the ocean, which was resounding with swirling waves and water, and appeared to be surging restlessly.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब वे वानर विस्मय (आश्चर्य/भय) को प्राप्त हुए और उस सागर को देखने लगे, जो घूमती हुई लहरों और जल के शोर से युक्त था तथा (प्रलय के लिए) चंचल हो रहा था।
English Commentary
Conclusion: Awe and Intimidation. The canto ends with the army struck by 'vismaya' (wonder/awe). The ocean represents the unknown boundary of their world. The strategic problem is now visually defined: A restless, roaring, monster-filled abyss stands between them and Sita.

विस्मय और भय। सर्ग का अंत वानरों के 'विस्मय' (Awe) पर होता है। वनवासी वानरों के लिए अनंत समुद्र एक अकल्पनीय दृश्य है। यह 'प्रलोलम' (अत्यंत चंचल/विनाशकारी) सागर उनके सामने सबसे बड़ी चुनौती बनकर खड़ा है।
