जाम्बवांश्च सुषेणश्च वेगदर्शी च वानरः ।
ऋक्षराजो महासत्त्वः कुक्षिं रक्षन्तु ते त्रयः ॥६-४-२१॥
jāmbavāṃśca suṣeṇaśca vegadarśī ca vānaraḥ । ṛkṣarājo mahāsattvaḥ kukṣiṃ rakṣantu te trayaḥ ॥6-4-21॥
Translation
Let Jambavan, Sushena, and the Vanara Vegadarshi—these three, including the mighty King of Bears—protect the middle/belly (Kukshi) of the army.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जाम्बवान, सुषेण और वेगदर्शी वानर—ये तीनों महाबली और ऋक्षराज (भालूराज) सेना के मध्य भाग (कुक्षि/पेट) की रक्षा करें।
English Commentary
Protection of the Center ('Kukshi'). This vital position is entrusted to the elders and wisest commanders—Jambavan and Sushena. Their experience provides stability to the core of the formation.

सेना के मध्य भाग (Kukshi) की सुरक्षा सबसे अनुभवी योद्धाओं को दी गई है। जाम्बवान और सुषेण बुजुर्ग और नीतिज्ञ हैं। वे श्री राम के आसपास रहेंगे और सेना के केंद्र को टूटने नहीं देंगे।
