ततो वानरराजेन लक्ष्मणेन च पूजितः ।
जगाम रामो धर्मात्मा ससैन्यो दक्षिणां दिशम् ॥६-४-२४॥
tato vānararājena lakṣmaṇena ca pūjitaḥ । jagāma rāmo dharmātmā sasainyo dakṣiṇāṃ diśam ॥6-4-24॥
Translation
Then, honored by the King of Monkeys and Lakshmana, the righteous Shri Rama marched towards the southern direction along with the army.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर वानरराज और लक्ष्मण से पूजित (सेवित) धर्मात्मा श्री राम ने सेना सहित दक्षिण दिशा की ओर प्रस्थान किया।
English Commentary
The March begins. The direction is South ('Dakshina'), symbolically significant as the realm of Death (Yama) and the location of Lanka. Shri Rama leads the charge.

कूच (March) का आरम्भ। दिशा 'दक्षिण' है, जो लंका और यम (मृत्यु) की दिशा है। श्री राम का यह कदम रावण के अंत की शुरुआत है।
