भक्षयन्तः सुगन्धीनि मधूनि च फलानि च ।
उद्वहन्तो महावृक्षान् मञ्जरीपुञ्जधारिणः ॥६-४-२८॥
bhakṣayantaḥ sugandhīni madhūni ca phalāni ca । udvahanto mahāvṛkṣān mañjarīpuñjadhāriṇaḥ ॥6-4-28॥
Translation
Eating fragrant honey and fruits, and carrying huge trees bearing clusters of blossoms, they marched on.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे सुगन्धित मधु और फलों को खाते हुए, तथा मंजरियों (बौर) के गुच्छों से लदे हुए विशाल वृक्षों को (उखाड़कर) ले जाते हुए चल रहे थे।
English Commentary
Foraging and arming on the go. They consume nature's bounty for energy and uproot trees to serve as crude but effective weaponry for the battles ahead.
हिंदी टीका
रास्ते में रसद और हथियार। वे फल-शहद खा रहे हैं (ऊर्जा के लिए) और बड़े वृक्ष साथ ले जा रहे हैं (हथियार के रूप में)। वानर वृक्षों का उपयोग गदा या डंडे की तरह करते थे।
