Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अस्मिन् मुहूर्ते सुग्रीव प्रयाणमभिरोचये ।
युक्तो मुहूर्तो विजयः प्राप्तो मध्यं दिवाकरः ॥६-४-३॥
asmin muhūrte sugrīva prayāṇamabhirocaye । yukto muhūrto vijayaḥ prāpto madhyaṃ divākaraḥ ॥6-4-3॥
Translation
O Sugriva, I wish to depart at this very moment. The sun has reached the mid-point; the suitable 'Vijaya' (Victory) Muhurta has arrived.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे सुग्रीव! मैं इसी मुहूर्त में प्रस्थान करना पसंद करता हूँ (उचित समझता हूँ)। सूर्य मध्य (आकाश के बीच) में पहुँच गए हैं, अतः यह 'विजय' नामक उपयुक्त मुहूर्त प्राप्त हुआ है।
English Commentary
Shri Rama demonstrates his knowledge of 'Muhurta Shastra' (Electional Astrology). He identifies the current time as 'Vijaya' (Victory), corresponding to the Abhijit Muhurta which occurs at solar noon ('madhyam divakarah'). In Vedic military tradition, starting a campaign at an auspicious moment is crucial for morale and cosmic alignment. Shri Rama's decisiveness eliminates procrastination; he strikes while the iron (and the time) is hot.

श्री राम ज्योतिष शास्त्र के ज्ञाता हैं। वे 'विजय मुहूर्त' (जिसे अभिजित मुहूर्त भी कहते हैं) का चुनाव करते हैं, जो दोपहर (मध्याह्न) में होता है। भारतीय युद्ध नीति में काल (Time) का बहुत महत्व है। श्री राम जानते हैं कि शत्रु को संभलने का मौका नहीं देना चाहिए, इसलिए वे 'अस्मिन् मुहूर्ते' (इसी क्षण) कूच करने का आदेश देते हैं।
