सरांसि च सुफुल्लानि तटाकानि महान्ति च ।
रामस्य शासनं ज्ञात्वा भीमकोपस्य भीतवत् ॥६-४-३९॥
sarāṃsi ca suphullāni taṭākāni mahānti ca । rāmasya śāsanaṃ jñātvā bhīmakopasya bhītavat ॥6-4-39॥

English Commentary
Discipline through fear/respect. The troops are aware of Shri Rama's 'shasana' (edict/discipline). Though Shri Rama is kind, his anger against indiscipline is feared ('bhimakopasya'), ensuring strict adherence to orders.
हिंदी टीका
अनुशासन। श्री राम का कोप 'भीम' (भयानक) है। सैनिक डरते हैं कि कहीं श्री राम का आदेश न टूट जाए। यह श्लोक अगले श्लोक (नागरिकों को न सताना) की भूमिका है।
