महानादान् विमुञ्चन्ति क्ष्वेलामन्ये प्रचक्रिरे ।
ऊरुवेगैश्च ममृदुर्लताजालान्यनेकशः ॥६-४-६८॥
mahānādān vimuñcanti kṣvelāmanye pracakrire । ūruvegaiśca mamṛdurlatājālānyanekaśaḥ ॥6-4-68॥
Translation
They released loud roars, and others made lion-roars. With the force of their thighs, they crushed networks of creepers in large numbers.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे महान गर्जनाएँ (नाद) कर रहे थे, अन्य सिंहनाद (क्ष्वेला) कर रहे थे। अपनी जांघों के वेग से उन्होंने अनेक लताओं के जालों को कुचल डाला।
English Commentary
Clearing the brush. Their sheer physical momentum ('uruvega') crushes the undergrowth. The army acts like a bulldozer, flattening the dense vegetation of the Western Ghats.
हिंदी टीका
जंगल का रास्ता साफ करना। उनके 'ऊरुवेग' (जांघों की ताकत) से झाड़ियाँ और लताएँ कुचल दी गईं। सेना जंगल को रौंदती हुई अपना रास्ता खुद बना रही है।
