उपरिष्टाद्धि नयनं स्फुरमाणमिदं मम ।
विजयं समनुप्राप्तं शंसतीव मनोरथम् ॥६-४-८॥
upariṣṭāddhi nayanaṃ sphuramāṇamidaṃ mama । vijayaṃ samanuprāptaṃ śaṃsatīva manoratham ॥6-4-8॥
Translation
For my upper (right) eye is twitching/throbbing, as if proclaiming the fulfillment of my desire and imminent victory.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मेरी यह ऊपर की आँख (दाहिनी आँख) फड़क रही है, जो मानो मेरे मनोरथ की विजय प्राप्ति की सूचना दे रही है।
English Commentary
In Indian tradition, the twitching of the right eye ('nayana') for men is considered highly auspicious, signaling coming success. Shri Rama notes this physiological sign as a physical confirmation of the cosmic approval mentioned in the previous verse.

पुरुषों के लिए दाहिने अंग का फड़कना शुभ माना जाता है। श्री राम अपनी 'नयनं' (आँख) के फड़कने को विजय का संकेत मानते हैं। यह श्लोक भारतीय संस्कृति में शकुन-अपशकुन की मान्यताओं को दर्शाता है।
