YUDDHA KANDA•SARGA: 4•SHLOKA: 93
विधमन्तो गिरिवरान् प्रययुः प्लवगर्षभाः ।
वृक्षेभ्योऽन्ये तु कपयो नर्दन्तो मधुदर्पिताः ॥६-४-९३॥
vidhamanto girivarān prayayuḥ plavagarṣabhāḥ । vṛkṣebhyo'nye tu kapayo nardanto madhudarpitāḥ ॥6-4-93॥
Translation
Those bulls among monkeys marched on, shaking the mountains. Other monkeys, proud/intoxicated with honey, roared from the trees.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे वानरश्रेष्ठ पर्वतों को कम्पित करते हुए आगे बढ़े। अन्य वानर, मधु के मद से गर्वित होकर, वृक्षों पर (चढ़कर) गर्जना कर रहे थे।
English Commentary
Raucous behavior. Fueled by honey ('madhudarpitah'), their confidence peaks. Roaring from treetops is a territorial display, signaling their dominance over the terrain.
हिंदी टीका
कोलाहल और गर्व। मधु पीने के बाद उनका 'दर्प' (Pride/Arrogance) बढ़ गया है। वे पेड़ों पर चढ़कर शत्रु को चुनौती देने वाली गर्जनाएँ ('नर्दन्तः') कर रहे हैं।
