आसेदुरानुपूर्व्येण समुद्रं भीमनिःस्वनम् ।
अवरुह्य जगामाशु वेलावनमनुत्तमम् ॥६-४-९८॥
āsedurānupūrvyeṇa samudraṃ bhīmaniḥsvanam । avaruhya jagāmāśu velāvanamanuttamam ॥6-4-98॥
Translation
...gradually reached the ocean making a terrible roaring sound. Descending, Shri Rama quickly went to the excellent coastal forest (Velavana).
हिंदी अनुवाद
...क्रमशः भयानक गर्जना वाले समुद्र तक आ पहुँचे। (पर्वत/वाहन से) उतरकर श्री राम शीघ्र ही उत्तम वेलावन (तटवर्तीय वन) की ओर गए।
English Commentary
Arrival at the coast. The terrifying roar of the ocean greets them. Shri Rama descends to the 'Velavana' (shore forest) to establish the base camp. The transition from mountain to shore is complete.
हिंदी टीका
तट पर आगमन। समुद्र की आवाज 'भीमनिःस्वनम्' (भयानक) है। श्री राम नीचे उतरते हैं ('अवरुह्य') और 'वेलावन' (Tidal forest/Mangroves or beach forest) में शिविर लगाने के लिए स्थान चुनते हैं।
