नीलजीमूतसंकाशं हेमसंछादिताम्बरम् ।
ऐरावतविषाणाग्रैरुत्कृष्टकिणवक्षसम् ॥६-४०-५॥
nīlajīmūtasaṃkāśaṃ hemasaṃchāditāmbaram |
airāvataviṣāṇāgrairutkṛṣṭakiṇavakṣasam ॥6-40-5॥
Translation
His body resembled a dark rain-cloud, he was clad in gold-bordered garments, and his chest bore the scars caused by the tusks of Airavata, the elephant of Indra.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह नील मेघ के समान काले शरीर वाला था, उसने सुनहरी किनारियों वाले वस्त्र धारण कर रखे थे और उसका वक्षस्थल ऐरावत हाथी के दांतों की रगड़ से बने निशानों (घावों के चिन्हों) से युक्त था।

Ravana’s dark complexion, likened to a rain-cloud, and his gold attire create a striking visual of power. The scars on his chest from the tusks of Airavata serve as medals of his past military conquests over the Devas.
