पश्यतां वानरेन्द्राणां राघवस्यापि पश्यतः ।
दर्शनाद्राक्षसेन्द्रस्य सुग्रीवः सहसोत्थितः ॥६-४०-७॥
paśyatāṃ vānarendrāṇāṃ rāghavasyāpi paśyataḥ |
darśanādrākṣasendrasya sugrīvaḥ sahasotthitaḥ ॥6-40-7॥
Translation
While the other monkey-chiefs and even Shri Rama (the scion of Raghu) were looking on, Sugriva suddenly sprang up the moment he caught sight of the king of Rakshasas.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अन्य वानरराजों और श्री रघुनाथ जी के देखते-देखते ही, राक्षसराज रावण को देखते ही सुग्रीव सहसा (आवेश में) उठ खड़े हुए।
English Commentary
Sugriva’s sudden movement reflects his impulsive nature and intense hatred for the one who insulted his Lord. While Shri Rama remains composed and analytical, Sugriva acts on instinct. This moment showcases Sugriva's raw courage and his fierce loyalty; seeing the oppressor of Sita and the enemy of Shri Rama, he is unable to restrain his warrior spirit.

सुग्रीव का सहसा उठना उनके आवेग और रावण के प्रति उनके तीव्र आक्रोश को दर्शाता है। जहाँ श्री राम शान्त भाव से स्थिति का विश्लेषण कर रहे हैं, वहीं सुग्रीव अपनी वानर प्रकृति के अनुरूप तुरंत प्रतिक्रिया देते हैं। यह श्लोक सुग्रीव के अदम्य साहस और श्री राम के प्रति उनकी निष्ठा को प्रकट करता है, जहाँ वे शत्रु को देखकर स्वयं को रोक नहीं पाते।
