तस्मिन् महाभीषणके प्रवृत्ते कोलाहले राक्षसराजाधान्याम् ।
प्रगृह्य रक्षांसि महायुधानि युगान्तवाता इव संविचेरुः ॥६-४१-१००॥
tasmin mahābhīṣaṇake pravṛtte kolāhale rākṣasarājadhānyām |
pragṛhya rakṣāṃsi mahāyudhāni yugāntavātā iva saṃviceruḥ ॥6-41-100॥
Translation
When that terrifying uproar arose in the capital of the King of Demons, the Rakshasas, seizing their mighty weapons, rushed about like the turbulent winds at the end of the cosmic age.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राक्षसराज की राजधानी में उस अत्यंत भीषण कोलाहल के होने पर, राक्षस अपने विशाल आयुधों को लेकर प्रलयकाल की आँधियों के समान विचरण करने लगे।
English Commentary
This verse captures the chaotic reaction within Ravana's capital following the initial panic. Despite their fear, the Rakshasas are warriors by nature. The imagery of them rushing with 'mighty weapons' compares them to the 'winds at the end of the Yuga' (Yugantavata), symbolizing destructive, uncontrollable power. It sets a dramatic stage for the impending battle. The comparison suggests that the Rakshasas were moving with immense speed and fury, intent on destruction, creating an atmosphere charged with the energy of an inevitable and catastrophic clash against the forces of Shri Rama.

जब लंका में वानरों के आक्रमण के कारण कोलाहल मचा, तो राक्षसों की प्रतिक्रिया का यहाँ वर्णन है। यद्यपि वे भयभीत थे, फिर भी वे योद्धा थे। उन्होंने अपने शस्त्र उठाए और युद्ध के लिए तत्पर हो गए। उनकी गति और विनाशकारी शक्ति की तुलना 'युगान्तवाता' (प्रलयकाल की वायु) से की गई है, जो दर्शाती है कि वे अत्यंत वेग और क्रोध में थे। यह श्लोक युद्ध के आरंभ होने से ठीक पहले के तनावपूर्ण और विस्फोटक वातावरण को दर्शाता है, जहाँ दोनों पक्ष भीषण संग्श्री राम के लिए तैयार हैं।
