वाताश्च परुषा वान्ति कम्पते च वसुंधरा ।
पर्वताग्राणि वेपन्ते पतन्ति धरणीरुहाः ॥६-४१-१३॥
vātāśca paruṣā vānti kampate ca vasuṃdharā |
parvatāgrāṇi vepante patanti dharaṇīruhāḥ ॥6-41-13॥
Translation
Harsh winds are blowing, the earth is trembling, mountain peaks are shaking, and trees are falling down.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कठोर (धूल भरी और तेज) हवाएं चल रही हैं, पृथ्वी कांप रही है, पर्वतों के शिखर हिल रहे हैं और वृक्ष गिर रहे हैं।
English Commentary
Nature reflects the impending doom. The harsh winds and trembling earth serve as cosmic portents of the upheaval to come. In the epic tradition, the environment is not a passive backdrop but an active participant that resonates with dharmic shifts. The disturbance of the elements—earthquakes and falling trees—signals that the upcoming conflict will shake the very foundations of the world order.

प्रकृति आने वाले विनाश पर अपनी प्रतिक्रिया दे रही है। यहाँ वर्णित अपशकुन—भूकंप, आंधी, गिरते वृक्ष—युद्ध की विभीषिका के प्राकृतिक संकेतक हैं। भारतीय महाकाव्यों में, प्रकृति और मानवीय नियति का गहरा संबंध दिखाया जाता है। जब अधर्म बढ़ता है या महान विनाश होने वाला होता है, तो पंचभूत (पृथ्वी, वायु आदि) विक्षुब्ध हो उठते हैं। श्री राम इन संकेतों को पढ़ रहे हैं।
