मेघाः क्रव्यादसंकाशाः परुषाः परुषस्वनाः ।
क्रूराः क्रूरं प्रवर्षन्ति मिश्रं शोणितबिन्दुभिः ॥६-४१-१४॥
meghāḥ kravyādasaṃkāśāḥ paruṣāḥ paruṣasvanāḥ |
krūrāḥ krūraṃ pravarṣanti miśraṃ śoṇitabindubhiḥ ॥6-41-14॥
Translation
Clouds resembling carnivorous beasts, harsh in appearance and making terrible sounds, are cruelly raining down drops mixed with blood.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मांसाहारी जीवों (जैसे गिद्ध) के समान दिखने वाले, कठोर और भयानक गर्जना वाले क्रूर बादल रक्त की बूंदों से मिश्रित भयानक वर्षा कर रहे हैं।
English Commentary
The imagery turns grotesque and terrifying. Clouds taking the shapes of scavengers ('kravyada') and raining blood ('shonitabindubhih') is a classic literary device indicating mass slaughter. It foreshadows the bloodshed on the battlefield. The atmosphere has turned 'krura' (cruel), suggesting that the heavens themselves are weeping blood or participating in the macabre dance of death that is about to unfold.

यह अत्यंत अशुभ संकेत है। बादलों का आकार हिंसक पशुओं जैसा होना और वर्षा में रक्त की बूंदों का होना (रक्तवृष्टि) घोर अमंगल का सूचक है। यह संकेत देता है कि लंका की भूमि जल्द ही रक्त से सनी होगी। 'क्रूर' शब्द का प्रयोग बादलों के लिए किया गया है, जो प्रकृति की सौम्यता के लोप और विनाशकारी रूप के प्रकट होने को दर्शाता है।
