आदित्यमभिवाश्यन्ति जनयन्तो महद्भयम् ।
दीना दीनस्वरा घोरा अप्रशस्ता मृगद्विजाः ॥६-४१-१६॥
ādityamabhivāśyanti janayanto mahadbhayam |
dīnā dīnasvarā ghorā apraśastā mṛgadvijāḥ ॥6-41-16॥
Translation
Wretched and inauspicious beasts and birds are crying out in pitiful tones facing the sun, generating great fear.
हिंदी अनुवाद
दीन और अशुभ पशु-पक्षी सूर्य की ओर मुख करके दीन स्वर में रो रहे हैं (बोल रहे हैं), जिससे महान भय उत्पन्न हो रहा है।
English Commentary
The behavior of animals ('mrigadvijah') facing the sun and crying piteously acts as a terrestrial omen complementing the celestial ones. Their 'dinasvara' (wretched voices) creates an ambiance of dread. It suggests that the animal kingdom intuitively senses the disruption in the natural order caused by the accumulated adharma and the looming war.

पशु-पक्षियों का व्यवहार शकुन शास्त्र में महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता है। सूर्य की ओर देखकर रोना विपत्ति का संकेत है। 'दीन स्वर' (दुखी आवाज) यह बताता है कि प्रकृति के जीव भी आने वाले संहार को महसूस कर रहे हैं और विलाप कर रहे हैं। यह वातावरण में व्याप्त तनाव और भय को चित्रित करता है।
