दृश्यन्ते न यथावच्च नक्षत्राण्यभिवर्तने ।
युगान्तमिव लोकस्य पश्य लक्ष्मण शंसति ॥६-४१-१९॥
dṛśyante na yathāvacca nakṣatrāṇyabhivartane |
yugāntamiva lokasya paśya lakṣmaṇa śaṃsati ॥6-41-19॥
Translation
The stars are not visible in their proper positions or appear distorted. Look, O Lakshmana! All this foretells the end of an era for the world.
हिंदी अनुवाद
नक्षत्र अपने उचित स्थान पर या उचित रूप में दिखाई नहीं दे रहे हैं। हे लक्ष्मण! देखो, यह सब लोक के युगान्त (प्रलय) की सूचना दे रहा है।
English Commentary
The distortion of stellar positions suggests a fundamental cosmic disorder. The comparison to 'yuganta' (end of a Yuga/aeon) frames the Ramayana war as an epoch-ending event. Shri Rama interprets these signs not just as bad luck, but as the universe announcing a necessary purge to restore balance. He urges Lakshmana to witness ('pashya') the gravity of the moment.

तारों की स्थिति में विचलन खगोलीय अव्यवस्था को दर्शाता है। 'युगान्त' शब्द महत्वपूर्ण है। श्री राम को आभास है कि यह युद्ध एक युग (राक्षस राज) का अंत करने वाला है। यह केवल एक शहर की घेराबंदी नहीं है, बल्कि इतिहास का एक मोड़ है। श्री राम इन संकेतों की व्याख्या एक दृष्टा (seer) की तरह कर रहे हैं।
