ततः काले महाबाहुर्बलेन महता वृतः ।
प्रस्थितः पुरतो धन्वी लङ्कामभिमुखः पुरीम् ॥६-४१-२६॥
tataḥ kāle mahābāhurbalena mahatā vṛtaḥ |
prasthitaḥ purato dhanvī laṅkāmabhimukhaḥ purīm ॥6-41-26॥
Translation
Then at that time, surrounded by a great army, the mighty-armed archer (Shri Rama) set forth in the front, facing the city of Lanka.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर उस समय, विशाल सेना से घिरे हुए, धनुष धारण किए हुए महाबाहु श्री राम लंका पुरी की ओर मुख करके सबसे आगे प्रस्थित हुए (चले)।
English Commentary
Leading by example, Shri Rama marches 'puratah' (in the front). He does not lead from the rear. Armed with his bow ('dhanvi'), facing the enemy capital, he leads the charge. This positioning inspires immense confidence in his troops and signifies his readiness to face the first blow of the enemy.

नेतृत्व का आदर्श प्रस्तुत करते हुए, श्री राम पीछे से निर्देश नहीं देते, वे 'पुरतः' (सबसे आगे) चलते हैं। धनुष हाथ में है, लक्ष्य लंका है। यह दृश्य अत्यंत ओजस्वी है—वानरों के समुद्र के आगे मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम श्री राम। यह उनकी निर्भयता और अपने सैनिकों के प्रति रक्षात्मक भाव को दर्शाता है।
